The American Conference on Pharmacometrics
March 9-12, 2008
Tucson, Arizona
The ACoP organizing committee is pleased to announce the first joint* US national Modeling and Simulation (M&S) meeting: the American Conference on Pharmacometrics! (*) Please note that there will be no regional US Pharmacometrics meetings (ECPAG, MUFPADA, BMSR) in 2008 to provide opportunities for our Pharmacometrics colleagues to attend ACoP.
On the agenda at ACoP:
- A broad range of M&S subject areas: systems biology, PKPD, drug-disease modeling, clinical utility and more
- Examples of strategic applications of M&S for more effective and efficient drug development decision making
- A review of state-of-the-art M&S tools and techniques
- "Soft" skills: enhancing communication skills, managing expectations of clinical teams, getting buy-in for M&S from senior management
- A 1-day pre-meeting Pharmacometrics training session on Bayesian PKPD.
- Posters and software demos
- Unique networking opportunities like a margarita reception, a stargazing experience, a nature walk through the desert landscape, and a Southwestern barbeque overlooking the Sonoran Desert!
